Harvesting the Courage to Create

April 4, 2025

It starts small—a breath, a tug, a quiet ache to make. To stir a pot, press a seed, or put pigment to page.

Every one of them is art when we move with love, and when we listen to the part of us that longs to bring something new to life.

So I am. I’m branching out. And I’m taking the biggest risk I’ve ever taken on myself. It’s terrifying—but everything in me says it’s time. The signs are all there. The timing, imperfect but right. And so, here I am—leaning into something that feels more true, more aligned, and more alive than anything I’ve done before.

I’ve read dozens of books about artists—on how to stay in creative flow, push past imposter syndrome, and take the leap into building a life around art. So many of them seem to echo the same message: that to be an artist, you must be full-time, successful, recognized. That you must make it in order to matter.

But I just don’t believe that’s true.

There’s art in everything we do—how we nourish ourselves, how we move through the world, how we connect. It lives in the meals we plate, the socks we choose, the way we speak to the people we love. I believe finding the artist in each of us isn’t just liberating—it’s essential. It’s how we express who we are, and it’s how we come home to ourselves.

So, I’ve decided to do just that: to stop waiting for permission, or a particular milestone, and to start showing up—honestly, imperfectly, and creatively.

I don’t know exactly what to expect. But I do know that I’m ready to open the door to vulnerability and connection by sharing the raw material of my thoughts, emotions, and personal challenges. Through this work—whatever form it takes—I’m making space for reflection, for healing, and for deeper connection with others and with myself.

Thank you for taking the time to be here, to read, and to witness this new beginning with me. It means more than you know.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to stay connected.
