Weavings
I strive to use recycled, reclaimed, and repurposed materials whenever possible. Here is a sampling of the fibers and other treats you will find in my work:
Extra fine to super chunky 100% merino wool, recycled cotton cords and ropes, recycled nylon, raw cotton, alpaca, merino, and angora fibers, sari silks, velvet ribbon, vegan yarns, mohair, bamboo, chiffon, raw wool roving, paper ribbons and raffia, recycled denim, antique brooches, vintage clip on earrings, buttons, reclaimed electrical wires, recycled plastic and newspaper.
I prefer smaller producers, and go for all-natural/organic products when possible. All other adornments are antique, reclaimed, repurposed, or recycled. I’d be glad to share my favorite small businesses and resources for materials.
